Illinois EDC welcomes leaders from OSFHealthCare and Zurich to its dynamic board of directors.

The Illinois Economic Development Corporation (formerly Intersect Illinois) today announced new appointments to its board of directors: Michelle Conger, president and incoming CEO of OSF HealthCare; and Sierra Signorelli, CEO, Zurich U.S. and CEO of Commercial Insurance for Zurich Insurance.
“Illinois is experiencing an economic development renaissance, as evidenced by its No. 2 national placement for corporate expansion projects and $13 billion in investments in 2025,” said Illinois EDC Chairman John Atkinson. “We’re thrilled to have Michelle and Sierra join us as we leverage their expertise to build on momentum and ensure Illinois stays on top.”
Michelle Conger, OSF HealthCare
Michelle Conger is the president and incoming CEO of OSF Healthcare, a Peoria-based integrated health system founded by the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. Throughout her tenure at OSF, which began in 1993 in a clinical role, Conger has championed innovation, strategic excellence, and patient-focused care. Prior to her role as president, she was named chief strategy officer for the health care Ministry and CEO of OSF OnCall Digital Health. Her many accolades include being named one of Modern Healthcare’s Top Innovators and Becker Hospital Review’s list of great leaders in health care.

Sierra Signorelli, Zurich Insurance Group and Zurich U.S.
Sierra Signorelli is the CEO of Commercial Insurance for Zurich Insurance Group and CEO of Zurich U.S. Since joining the company in 2017, she has also served as chief underwriting officer and group chief underwriting officer for Commercial Insurance. Signorelli brings extensive experience in the insurance industry, including 17 years with American International Group (AIG), where she held several senior leadership roles in the Global Specialties division. She also serves as a member of the CEO Leadership Council of the Global Business Alliance.
